We are very conscious of our impact on the environment with our day to day working activities and the design of the systems we integrate into our buildings.
We work closely with local authorities and building control surveyors to ensure that our works take into account good environmental design and incorporate environmentally friendly materials and products.
When onsite we constantly strive to minimise the levels of pollution to the local environment, minimise the amount of waste we produce from daily activities (disposing of any produced in a responsible manner) and give full consideration to other people around us.
Lucy & Co make every effort to improve and enhance the environments we work in. We do this by giving full respect to all the factors that may affect our works and becoming ever increasingly environmentally aware and friendly.
The Lucy & Co Environmental Policy is intended to promote and enhance the local environments in which we work by using products that are environmentally friendly and conducting ourselves in a manner that considers the environment around us.
As a company it is our intention to enhance the environments in which we work and we expect this from all our suppliers and sub-contractors.
All our employees and site operatives are made aware of this policy and their own responsibilities towards the environment around them. This covers all aspects of our work from the ordering of timber from sustainable sources to using low energy temporary lighting on our sites.
As a Company it is our policy to exceed the minimal levels of performance required by environmental legislation. We achieve this by pro-actively finding new ways of reducing our impact on our environments in our day to day activities and receiving constant updates of new legislations and recommendations that affect our industry.
It is our commitment to continually reduce our impact on the environment and because of this our policy is reviewed annually to ensure that our day to day activities comply with the policy and that we are fulfilling our potential of improving the environment.
